Simple water decal

I did this manicure using water decal a while back (sometime early February to be more exact). I thought I'd share the design with you especially since I haven't done my nails since February (I’ve cut them down twice since then). I used Flyin' High by china glaze as a base color and applied flower and butterfly water decals on top. The water decals I used in this design, I bought them from ebay.
Swatch of Flyin' high by China Glaze:

Final result for the manicure:

The final design kind of looked a bit fake so I added Be Seen in Green by Maybelline using a cosmetic sponge. The pictures didn't turn out that great (even though the design looked really pretty in person) because I forgot to change the light.

Hope you guys liked the design.

Mani for the day using red angel plates

First of all, Happy Valentine's Day everyone. I didn't really go for an all heart/love themed nail design instead I used different shades of my favorite nail polish color (that's any shade of purple) to do my nail design for today.

I used the grape debate (from nicole by opi ) as my base color, for stamping I used image plate RA-112 (click here to obtain more information on red angel plates) with pastel violet (special konad polish), and applied one coat of seche vite to finish my manicure.

Final result with flash:

I think my image with flash is slightly more accurate (in real light it's just a bit darker than the final image with flash) than without flash (for some reason my camera was picking it up slightly darker than in real appears). Final result without flash:
Side note:  For this stamp you might have to scrape a bit slower otherwise you might have a hard time keeping the polish in the image gaps/cracks.

Floral Matte Look Using Red Angel

I think I'm starting to understand why some people really love Matte About You (by essie). Even though I bought the matte top coat in summer I never used it up until 2-3 weeks ago. And after using it all I can say is I'm fully in love with this top coat ♥♥♥

For today's look, as the base color I used Moxie by Zoya, for stamping I used RA-109 (click here to obtain more information on red angel plates), and for the top coat I used Matte about you by essie.

The look before I applied the top coat:

Final look after applying the top coat:
Hope you guys liked the final look. Also click here to see the final look more clearly if my pictures aren't that good.

Simple and easy nail tutorial using red angel nail plates

My very first design using red angel plates(click here to obtain more information on red angel plates) RA-121 and RA-119.

The final design got smeared a bit because I'm so used to seche vite that I forgot how other top coats have to be applied in a certain manner in-order for the design to not smear. Sorry for this I'm only posting a tutorial video because I didn't take any images for the final result.

Hlaf Moon Nail Design using Konad plate m85

Around a week or so ago I posted a tutorial on youtube using Konad plate m85 to create a half moon floral design. Even though some people might've been disappointed with the final result because my middle finger's design was a bit messed up (1st the polish smeared when it was still wet, later the stamp didn't turn out that well, and to top it off when I removed the french tip guide some of the polish came off) but I was really glad as to how it turned out. Even though people around me call me a perfectionist I don't allow my perfectionist side to be displayed when it comes to nail art (I do nail art for fun and to release my stress not to please others.)

The final result for the half moon nail tutorial (click here to see the full tutorial and also to see a more clear result for the tutorial) I posted on youtube was:

Also after a week or so I re-did the same design using a different base color, added rhinestones, and instead of a glossy finish I used matte about you from essie to try out a matte look.

The base color I used was Stuck in the Chimney by Nicole by OPI (on the left it's with flash and on the right is without flash):

Sorry about the streakiness on the final look I didn't know how thin essie's matte about you really is until after I used it. The final look:

Hope you guys enjoyed my post.

New Konad Plates & Special Nail Polish

Few weeks ago Konad announced they were releasing 3 new plates along with 3 new special polishes.

Simple Water Decal

Around an year or two ago I got into nail art. Back then I assumed the simplest nail designs were nail stamping until I heard about water decals. Before I went out and purchased some expensive decals I decided to test out some cheaper ones. I purchased the cheaper decals from e-bay for either $1 for 12 decals or around $3.50 for 4 sheets (each sheet containing 20 images).

For my first attempt at water decal I used Road House Blues by OPI as my base colour (it might have been I Brake For Manicure I can't remember which one it is but I remember it's from the Touring America collection by OPI) and applied the water decal on top along with a top coat.

I used Green-Wich Villiage by OPI as base colour and applied the water decal and a top coat to finish the design for my second attempt at water decal:

For my third attempt at water decal I used No Room For The Blues by OPI as my base colour before applying the water decal and top coat.
My fourth attempt at water decal. Before applying the top coat and the water decal I used Planks a Lot by OPI as my base colour, and using a makeup sponge I used white on white by china glaze for the cloudy effect (which I wasn't fully able to get).
Lastly for my last attempt at water decal I didn't have to add a base colour because the decal was for the full nail but I did add white as a base colour before applying the water decal on my nails. Personally I think I shouldn't have done that because after my decal started to wear out it looked really ugly. Note, I took this picture after the design had been on my nails for 2-3 days and had started to wear out.

Hope you guys enjoyed my post. I personally think water decals are one of the best things to have been created for nail art because they are simple, easy to do, and don't take up lot of time.
